			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is believed that humans first came to the southern end of the Baja California peninsula 14,000 years ago.  When the first Europeans arrived, the Pericu were there, living a subsistence diet.  A fishing village began to develop there in the early 20th century.  The warm waters, beautiful beaches and abundant sport fish motivated Mexican and foreign tourists to vacation there, especially after the Mexican government created the infrastructure for tourist development in the 1970s.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cabo San Lucas is generally known as Los Cabos, along with San Jose del Cabo, in Mexico, or simply as &#8220;Cabo&#8221; in the United States.  The city is at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico, in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico.  The population is low, with less than 60,000 residents.  It is the second largest city in Baja California Sur, after La Paz.  It is a high end vacation destination with many resorts and timeshare clubs along the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.  This area is known as the Tourist Corridor.</p>
