Whale Watching

One of the unique things to do in Cabo San Lucas is to take a whale watching tour. They are available during the annual migrations of a number of species of whales. The best time for this is January through March. The whales make a 6,000 mile long migration from Alaska and Siberia to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. They can be seen spouting off from shore, but the best way to really experience this is to take a whale watching tour. Your hotel should be able to schedule this for you.

Stock Your Villa or Condo Kitchen

After a long day of travel to Cabo San Lucas, you arrive to an empty refrigerator and pantry in your villa or condo. That’s no fun. You can hire someone to pre-stock your villa or condo with food, beverages, alcohol, etc. Wouldn’t it be nicer to arrive and have your choice of beer, wine, margarita ingredients, etc. waiting for you? Flights to Cabo

Travel to Cabo is easy. A number of major airlines have direct flights to Cabo, including American, Continental, Delta, Frontier, America West, Alaska Airlines, AeroMexico and Mexicana. Cabo’s airport is relatively modern. Don’t be concerned that flying there will have a third world feel. For the return flight, Mexican airports recently upgraded their security procedures to where they are basically as annoying and intrusive as U.S. airports. Nevertheless, if you have a connecting flight in the U.S., you still have to go through U.S. security for the connecting flight after clearing immigration and customs.
